However, climate change risks that pose material risks to the country’s economy remains trivial and are being undermined by businesses. It is imperative that businesses of all sizes need to raise their efforts, be more ambitious in tackling climate risks, and take the lead on change. The action plans and activities taken by the organisations in combatting these risks need to be granular and consistent.
This guide is produced by UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB), in collaboration with Nottingham University Business School (NUBS), SENTRAL College Penang, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to assist the private sector in their climate change journey. This 3-part Guide seeks to bring business leaders on a journey to address the “What, Why, and How” of climate change, alongside various localised case studies to inspire positive climate action.
