Synopsis
Bank Negara Malaysia has recently announced the RM5 billion Special Relief Facility at an interest rate of 3.5%, which will benefit close to 1 million Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. There are many possible measures to support companies in sustaining their business operations through this crisis. Businesses all over the globe that are severely impacted, including SME, have already embarked on immediate possible measures to remedy the current pandemic situation.
This session will explore further the current reality and how companies can manage cash flow in times of crisis.

Chari is a senior finance professional (retired CFO) with over 39 years of experience in the Technology and Telecom sectors across Asia Pacific. He has overseen successful strategic transformations of the organisations and received external recognition for the highest profits and return on invested capital (ROIC) in the industry. Chari has significant corporate governance experience as a senior executive and director on two large listed company boards influencing key stakeholders to steer businesses to deliver results. He also has experience of leading cultural change, building cross-functional leadership teams & organisational capabilities.
He currently serves as a consultant and financial advisor. And in his “down time”, he enjoys presenting papers at forums and assisting the next generation by mentoring and coaching.
