The last of the 3-day ESG Series, this session will focus on the five global ESG (environmental, social, governance) and technology megatrends (what she calls the ESGT Megatrends) that are key to successful business futureproofing.

Based on Andrea’s work serving on and advising international boards and c-suites, as well as her books Gloom to Boom: How Leaders Transform Risk into Resilience and Value (Routledge 2020) and The ESGT Megatrends Manual 2022-2023 (Diplomatic Courier 2022), she will describe the latest ESGT Megatrends that are essential for resilient and sustainable corporate risk and opportunity governance for companies everywhere.

Drawing upon why successful governance in the coming years of continuous risk and crisis management requires such an ESG plus T approach, the session will conclude with a high-level overview of Andrea’s practical leadership to do’s – the 2022-2023 Leadership ESGT Blueprint.

Andrea Bonime-Blanc is founder and CEO of GEC Risk Advisory, a strategic governance, risk, ESG, tech, ethics and cyber advisor to business, NGOs, and government. A former senior global executive at Bertelsmann, Verint and PSEG, she serves on several boards and advisory boards (including Crisp, WireX, Cyber Future Foundation, NACD NJ Chapter). She is the Independent Ethics Advisor to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico, Independent Integrity Advisor to the Platform for Social Impact and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

In 2022, Andrea was named to the NACD Directorship 100 by the National Association of Corporate Directors. She is an NACD Governance Leadership Fellow, holds the Carnegie Mellon Cyber Oversight Certificate and serves as faculty at NYU’s Center for Global Affairs M.S. in National Security & Cybersecurity Program She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions over the years including the 2018 inaugural Directors & Chief Risk Officers (DCRO) Exemplar Award and Ethisphere’s 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics in 2014 and 2015.

Andrea is a sought-after global keynote speaker, visiting professor at several international universities, and author of many articles and several books, most recently Gloom to Boom: How Leaders Transform Risk into Resilience and Value (Routledge 2020) and the annual edition of The ESGT Megatrends Manual 2022-2023 (Diplomatic Courier 2022). She received her Joint JD in Law and PhD in Political Science from Columbia University.
