Programme Outline

Corporate innovation through venture building has emerged as an indispensable catalyst for business success, propelling companies to navigate an ever-evolving marketplace, cultivate adaptability, build new capabilities and sustain their competitive edge. It fosters agility, creates new growth engines, and paves the way for long-term sustainability.

In this era marked by ceaseless change and disruption, the role of a Board Director has never been more pivotal. Yet, board members of large enterprises often grapple with a host of challenges, including risk aversion, limited tolerance for failure, a dearth of innovation know-how, struggles to keep pace with the rapid march of technology, short-term thinking, a lack of customer focus, and an over reliance on established business models. Today, it’s not merely about keeping up or staying ahead of the curve; it’s about guiding the curve itself.

Delve into real-world case studies that illuminate how boards have steered the course toward enterprise innovation through successful venture building, drawing wisdom from seasoned innovators from FutureLabs Ventures and Human Inc.

Hear the insights from a successful unicorn founder as he shares his journey on how he leveraged Venture Building as a new lever of growth in a capital-constrained environment.

Join us to discover fresh perspectives on your role as a board director, one that champions the creation of new value while safeguarding the interests of your shareholders.
