Programme Outline

Generative AI has captured the attention of people worldwide, evoking a variety of reactions, from apocalyptic predictions that computers will exterminate humans to optimistic fantasies that machines will be endowed with magical abilities. But a more solemn discussion is going on in corporate boardrooms. It includes both warnings about its drawbacks and considerations for potential benefits in order to gain a realistic grasp of how boards might assess this potent but prone-to-error new instrument.

Companies are vying to take advantage of generative AI’s advantages while working to build regulations and rules to reduce reputational and legal risks that they may face. The generative AI market is still debating and improving its products, which have improved with each new level of generative AI. In response to concerns regarding the potential ethical ramifications and other risks of this new tool’s widespread adoption, policymakers are chiming in with a flurry of legislative measures and suggestions.

One thing remains constant is that we all have questions about it: Will generative AI benefit or harm your company? How will they change your enterprise, products, and services? Is now the right time to introduce them and should this be a board agenda?

In this PowerTalk series, we invite board of directors and their C-suite members to explore the new evolution of Generative AI. Understanding the technology has implications that are worth considering for any company that is looking to stay competitive and operate responsibly in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
