Tan Sri Zarinah brings with her legal, corporate, and regulatory experience from the many years spent in the corporate sector and public service. She is the former Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), a position she held for six years until her retirement in March 2012. Before this she was the SC’s Deputy Chief Executive from December 2001. An advocate of gender diversity, Tan Sri Zarinah is the Founding Chairman of the 30% Club Malaysia Chapter, a business campaign to help drive higher women representation in leadership positions and on corporate boards. Tan Sri Zarinah is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Razak School of Government, Amanah Warisan Negara and the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. She is also a Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Chairman of Universiti Malaya and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, United Kingdom.

Datuk Johan is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and graduated with an Economic Degree from the University of Cambridge. Since 2004, Datuk Johan has served in various roles including Deputy Secretary General (Policy) and National Budget Director at the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Director General (Human Capital) of the Economic Planning Unit and CEO of Talent Corporation Malaysia. On 27 February 2023, he was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance. Before joining the government in 2024, he worked for 9 years in corporate finance and accounting roles in private sector.

Farah Rosley is the Malaysia Tax Leader at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn. Bhd. She was also the Past President of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) from 2019 to 2022.

Farah has more than 20 years of experience in managing corporate tax engagements, covering national and cross-border transactions and working with large multinational, public companies across a variety of sectors including services, telecommunications and technology, electronics, infrastructure and utilities, plantations, property development, construction and manufacturing. She has also advised on special government initiatives and studies on tax matters as well as lent insights into government policies for specific sectors.

Farah’s experience revolves around various engagements sessions with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“IRBM”), on the e-Invoicing requirements as per the Guidelines and practical issues faced by businesses in relation to the application of e-Invoice across business operations.

She has also led various engagements with multiple clients, including group of companies and multinational enterprises, helping businesses prepare for implementation, including in identifying the gaps in business processes and potential operational hurdles, as well as conducting sessions to address the issues by connecting with the IRBM and propose solutions to overcome these issues.

In her role in the taxation industry and during her tenure as President of CTIM, Farah plays an active and facilitative role in working with key government stakeholders and the private sector on leading-edge tax decisions and improvements for the nation.

Farah is a firm believer in supporting the next generation of tax professionals and initiated the EY Young Tax Professional of the Year program in Malaysia in 2013 to create awareness of the tax profession and encourage the young to consider a career in tax.

A regular speaker in national and international tax conferences and seminars, Farah has frequently been invited by the media to provide the latest insights and views on taxation and the relevant policies. Farah has also authored numerous articles and commentaries for various publications.
