Risk, Strategy and Governance – How Integrated Thinking Can Support Boards in Creating Long-term Value

Note: Only for directors and c-suite participants

This virtual talk is a collaboration between the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM).

The support for integrated reporting by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) is clearly shown through the inclusion of integrated reporting in the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance and the SC’s Corporate Governance Strategic Priorities (2017-2020) in relation to strengthening the corporate governance ecosystem. The recently released SC’s Corporate Governance Monitor 2020 revealed that 105 listed companies have reported their journey with integrated reporting.

Integrated thinking, which is integral in integrated reporting, is the game changer for sustainable corporate governance and serves as a solution to demands on corporate leadership regarding sustainability, strategy, performance and risks. Integrated thinking is a multi-capital management approach that enables organisations to deliver their purpose to the benefit of their key stakeholders over time. It is about creating and preserving value and enabling better decision-making based on interconnected, multi-capital information.

This virtual talk gives Directors an opportunity to meet and engage with key personnel from the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and industry players conversant with integrated reporting, who will be speaking on the value of integrated thinking and reporting to Boards and organisations and how they can be implemented.

The webinar will be run on MIA’s Webex platform. The link to the webinar will be provided upon confirmation of your registration.
