National Climate Governance Summit 2023 | 5 – 7 September 2023

We are excited to extend a warm invitation to you for the inaugural National Climate Governance Summit 2023.

We have been supporting Climate Governance Malaysia, a non-profit organisation, which has been working hard to launch the first hybrid National Climate Governance Summit on 5-7 Sept 2023 at Sasana Kijang, with the support of the Companies Commission of Malaysia, SME Corp. Malaysia, the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia, FIDE FORUM, the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance and United Nations Development Program.

The objective is to inform and empower Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia to build climate resilient businesses and adopt best practices of climate governance through enhanced knowledge and understanding of climate action needed. Many in the private sector have already pivoted towards more sustainable practices but we are running out of time in this existential crisis, as there is now a 66% chance we will pass the 1.5^C global warming threshold between now and 2027, creating unprecedented extreme weather.

This is the only sustainability event specifically targeting SMEs in Malaysia, the backbone of the economy, comprising 97.2% of business establishments, featuring more than 80 speakers and 17 workshops designed to deliver content targeted for SMEs.
